Duke Energy is offering rebates for home builders with their Residential New Construction Program. Through the program, builders can receive up to a $9,000 incentive for creating new energy efficient housing that conforms to the HERO code. HERO, which stands for High Efficiency Residential Option, is a set of standards created in 2012 as part of the North Carolina Energy Conservation Code. Learn more about the rebate here.
