336-373-1538Independent environmental testing for homeowners, buyers, and renters. We never perform remediation, so our findings are not tied to selling corrective work.
Environmental concerns can arise at any stage of homeownership. Here are the situations we see most often.
A standard home inspection doesn't test for mold, air quality, or water contaminants. Add ESG to your due diligence before you close, and make your decision with independent data.
If you are concerned about the environment inside your home, testing documents the conditions present at the time of service. ESG evaluates and documents environmental conditions. ESG does not diagnose medical conditions or determine whether a building condition caused symptoms. Results may be shared with a qualified healthcare provider.
If you can see it or smell it, independent testing documents what is actually there. ESG does not perform remediation, so the findings are not tied to selling corrective work.
Disturbing walls, flooring, or older building materials can release mold spores, lead dust, and VOCs. Test before and after so conditions are documented for your family and contractors.
Residential environmental testing, from a single concern to a broader review of the accessible areas of your home.
Air and surface samples sent to an accredited lab. Clear results on the mold types and levels detected in the samples collected, without any remediation pitch.
Learn More AssessmentA visual inspection of accessible areas combined with targeted sampling to document mold, moisture intrusion, and conditions that can support future growth.
Learn More TestingTest your tap, well, or filtered water for bacteria, heavy metals, nitrates, and other contaminants, depending on the panel selected. Clear lab results for the water sampled.
Learn More TestingSurface wipe testing, paint chip analysis, and dust sampling for lead, critical for homes built before 1978 and for families with young children.
Learn More TestingLaboratory sampling can identify certain volatile organic compounds captured in a collected sample, including compounds associated with new flooring, cabinets, paint, and furnishings. A sample alone usually does not prove the source.
Learn More AssessmentA multi-parameter evaluation covering air quality, moisture, and VOCs in the accessible areas evaluated, giving you a clearer picture of your home's indoor environment at the time of service.
Learn More Real EstateDesigned for buyers, sellers, and real estate agents: a standardized IAQ evaluation that integrates cleanly into the home inspection process.
Learn More New ConstructionNew homes can still have issues. Test for mold from construction moisture, off-gassing from new materials, and poor ventilation before move-in.
Learn More VerificationAfter remediation work is complete, ESG independently evaluates the designated remediation area against applicable visual, moisture, odor, particle, and laboratory clearance criteria, separate from the contractor who did the work.

Many environmental testing companies also sell remediation services. On the surface that seems convenient. But think about what it means: the company testing your home profits more if they find a serious problem. That's a direct conflict of interest.
ESG has never offered remediation and never will. Our entire business is built on one thing: providing accurate, unbiased test results. When your tester has no financial stake in the outcome, there is no incentive to inflate findings.
If remediation is needed, we'll tell you. We can even help you understand the scope so you can evaluate bids from contractors without being taken advantage of. But we'll never be that contractor, and that line will never blur.
"When your tester has no financial stake in finding problems, there is no incentive to inflate them."
ESG's independence is the foundation of every report we deliver. No upsell. No inflated findings. No pressure. Just clear, objective results you can act on with confidence, whether that means doing nothing, monitoring, or calling a remediation contractor.
Getting your home tested is easier than you think. Here's what to expect from start to finish.

A certified ESG technician arrives at your home, inspects the accessible areas of concern, and collects air, surface, or water samples as appropriate. Most visits take 1 to 2 hours.
Your samples are sent to an accredited independent laboratory for analysis. Results typically return within 3 to 5 business days depending on the test type.
You receive a written report with your lab results, an expert interpretation of the findings, and clear recommendations for next steps, in plain language, not jargon.
Findings apply to the accessible areas, conditions, locations, measurements, and samples evaluated at the time of service. They do not establish conditions throughout the building or guarantee future conditions.
Replace guesswork with documented conditions. Independent testing gives you findings you can act on, from a company that has nothing to gain but your trust.
