What we test

Two services, one independent standard

Water testing and wastewater testing can each be ordered on their own, or added to any other ESG assessment. Either way, the samples go to an EPA certified laboratory and the results come back to you, not to a contractor.

Why it matters

An unbiased third party between you and the results

Companies that sell water treatment or remediation have a reason to find problems. ESG does not. We are a testing and consulting firm only: we collect the samples, an EPA certified laboratory analyzes them, and we report what the data shows.

Before any report reaches you, it is peer reviewed by two certified professionals. What you get is a documented, defensible answer about your water or wastewater, whether it is good news or not.

Common questions about water testing

What can wastewater testing detect?

Wastewater testing can uncover pathogens such as COVID-19 and RSV, as well as drugs such as opiates. Samples are analyzed by an EPA certified laboratory, so the results reflect what is actually present in the wastewater leaving your building or facility.

Who analyzes the samples?

ESG works with an EPA certified laboratory for analysis. ESG itself is an unbiased third-party testing company: we collect the samples, the lab runs the analysis, and we deliver the results with clear interpretation.

Can I order water testing on its own?

Yes. Water and wastewater testing is available as a standalone service, or as an add-on to any other ESG assessment, such as a mold assessment or a healthy building assessment.

Does ESG treat or fix water problems?

No. ESG tests and reports. We never sell treatment systems or remediation work, so our results are never shaped by what we might be hired to fix. If the results call for action, we help you understand your options.
