336-373-1538After ESG assesses your home or building, the next question is always: who does the remediation? ESG maintains a curated list of vetted remediation professionals we trust, available to all ESG clients at no charge.
ESG is an independent testing and assessment firm. We never perform mold remediation, water damage restoration, or construction work, and that's intentional.
Independence is what makes ESG useful. The Verified Remediator program bridges the gap, giving you access to contractors we trust without compromising our objectivity.
Many environmental contractors offer both testing and remediation under one roof. On the surface, this seems convenient. But it creates a fundamental conflict of interest: the company that finds the problem profits from fixing it.
This means remediation scopes can be inflated. Clearance tests may be performed by the same firm that did the work, which is like grading your own homework. And clients have no way to know whether the recommendations were objective.
ESG exists to solve this problem. We provide the independent assessment and oversight. Verified Remediators provide the remediation. Then ESG returns for independent clearance testing to confirm the work actually met standards.
Inclusion in the Verified Remediator program is not automatic. Our vetting includes the areas below before we recommend a contractor to clients.
Our vetting includes recognized industry certifications (IICRC, NORMI, or equivalent), maintained in good standing. Certification demonstrates baseline training and accountability.
Verified Remediators follow ESG-provided remediation protocols and ANSI/IICRC S520 standards. Contractors who cut corners or deviate from scope without documentation can be removed from the list.
Our vetting includes how contractors perform against ESG clearance testing over time. Contractors whose work consistently fails or requires re-testing are not recommended to clients.
ESG collects feedback from clients after remediation. Contractors with recurring complaints about communication, scope, billing, or workmanship are reviewed and may be removed.
Our vetting includes verification of general liability insurance and applicable state contractor licenses. This protects clients and confirms the contractor is a legitimate business.
ESG does not receive referral fees from Verified Remediators. Our recommendations are based solely on performance and client outcomes, not on financial arrangements.
If you are a mold remediation or water damage contractor serving North Carolina, Virginia, or Tennessee, ESG welcomes inquiries from qualified companies interested in the Verified Remediator program.
Being on the ESG Verified list puts your company in front of clients who have already made the decision to address their problem: they have an assessment, they have a protocol, and they need a qualified contractor.
Interested contractors should reach out to ESG directly. We will review your credentials, certifications, and service area before making a determination.
Contact ESG About the ProgramNo. ESG clients are free to choose any contractor for remediation work. The Verified Remediator list is a free resource for clients who want a starting point of contractors ESG has vetted and worked with.
No. ESG does not accept referral fees, kickbacks, or commissions from remediation contractors. Our referrals are based solely on performance and client experience, not financial arrangements.
ESG performs independent clearance testing after remediation regardless of who does the work. If the work doesn't meet standards, the clearance test will reflect that, protecting you from overpaying for incomplete remediation.
When ESG writes a remediation protocol, it defines the scope, standards, and methods required. This prevents scope creep, overbilling, and disputes about what was supposed to be done: everything is documented in writing before work begins.
The Verified Remediator list is provided to clients after an ESG assessment, since the appropriate contractor may depend on what ESG finds. Contact us to discuss your situation and we can guide you from there.
ESG's Verified Remediator network covers North Carolina (including the Piedmont Triad, Charlotte, and Triangle), with contractors also available in parts of Virginia and Tennessee. Contact ESG to confirm coverage for your area.
The Verified Remediator list is available to all ESG assessment clients. Schedule your assessment and we'll guide you through the entire process, from investigation to clearance.
